The October 17, 2009, TEKS review committee recommendations for social studies are posted here.
The recommendations are in clusters of Kindergarten through Grade 5, Grades 6 through 8, and high school courses, listed separately. In addition, Historical Figures by Grade Level and Historical Figures by Cluster are also posted. The State Board of Education (SBOE), will discuss the proposed revisions on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. There will be a day provided for public testimony at the regular January SBOE meeting.
